Prosecco Doc Treviso

Our label is meant to reflect the place in which Picchetto Verde is made: a region with great experience and tradition in the production of high-quality wine. Many passionate and industrious people helped us and shared with us the conviviality of the harvest. Stefania and Gianni’s stubbornness led to the creation of Picchetto Verde, the perfect wine for both aperitifs and good meals.

PROSECCO DOC TREVISO

 –

Prosecco is a DOC (“controlled designation of origin”) wine obtained from Glera variety and the Marca Trevigiana is universally recognized as the traditional DOC Prosecco region. Hence the cultivation of Glera has been extended and it is now only allowed in some provinces of Veneto and in the provinces of Friuli Venezia Giulia (guidelines referring to the designation of the guarantee of origin of “Prosecco” wine. Ministerial Decree 30.11.2011 published on the official website of Mipaaf, section quality and safety of wines PDO and PGI).

prosecco-extra-dry

EXTRA DRY

A bright and lively wine, straw-yellow in colour tending to yellow-green. Its bead is delicate and persistent, its fragrance is clear and well-defined.

Fruity aromas of unripe white fruits (apple, pear) and white blossoms, vegetal scents and mineral notes recalling a sunny day at the beach.

It is delicate and soft to the palate, thanks to the presence of residual sugar. All sensations are enhanced by its freshness, effervescence and tanginess.

Review by Mauro Massarin, sommelier, awarded the title of Best Sommelier in Veneto in 2013.

Serving temperature: 10-12° C

Food pairing: perfect for aperitif and with fish starters or cured meats.

Prosecco-brut-millesimato

BRUT MILLESIMATO

A bright and lively wine, straw-yellow in colour. Its bead is delicate and persistent, bubbles are clearly visible inside the glass.

The wine features notes of unripe white fruits (pear, green apple, pineapple) and white blossoms, with mineral and salty scents, perhaps due to the proximity to the sea.

It is firm and sparkling to the palate, dry, stunningly fresh-tasting and fairly mineral; it gives way to a persistent fruity back palate.

Review by Mauro Massarin, sommelier, awarded the title of Best Sommelier in Veneto in 2013.

Serving temperature: 8-10° C

Food pairing: perfect for aperitif with traditional Venetian cicheti, but good also for a fish menu.
